Auction Sheet Guide: What is a Japanese Auction Sheet?
A Japanese auction sheet is an inspection report prepared before many used vehicles are sold through Japanese auto auctions. It normally includes vehicle details, chassis number, mileage, auction grade, interior score, equipment, body diagram, damage marks and inspector comments.
For overseas buyers, the auction sheet is important because it helps confirm the vehicle condition before bidding or purchasing. It can show scratches, dents, rust, corrosion, panel replacement, repair history, accident history and other points that may not be obvious from photos alone.
Nippon Vehicles helps buyers understand auction sheet details, check basic vehicle information by chassis number, and request paid auction history reports when deeper Japanese auction record checking is needed. 日本語:オークションシートは、車両の状態・評価点・内装評価・傷や修復歴などを確認するための重要な資料です。

Which Auction Grade Should You Choose?
| Best Condition | S, 6, 5 and 4.5 are usually preferred for buyers who want cleaner vehicles and can pay a higher price. |
|---|---|
| Best Balance | Grade 4 is often a practical choice because it can offer good condition with more affordable pricing. |
| Budget Buyers | 3.5 or 3 may be suitable when budget is limited, but photos and condition report should be checked carefully. |
| Accident History | RA and R can be cheaper, but repair details and vehicle structure should be understood before purchase. |
Buyer Safety Checklist
| 1 | Check auction grade and interior grade together, not grade alone. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Confirm mileage, chassis number and auction sheet translation. |
| 3 | Look for X, XX, W, C, S, RA, R or corrosion notes before bidding. |
| 4 | Use the chassis lookup service if you need basic details or auction history support. |
